One year after the release of Cloudflare's first cybersecurity survey in 2023, it is truly surprising to see how much the same issues continue to impact the work of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) in this region.

Cloudflare's 2024 research interviewed approximately 4,000 cybersecurity professionals across 14 markets in the APAC region, continuing our efforts to better understand the threat landscape faced by CISOs and their teams throughout Asia Pacific.

Key highlights of the report include:

• Over 68% of respondents experienced at least one cybersecurity incident in the past 12 months.
• 47% of respondents reported their organization experienced more than 10 breaches in the past 12 months.
• 51% of respondents reported losses totaling over one million US dollars due to breaches.

Cloudflare hopes that the insights provided in this report will help CISOs and their teams identify obstacles in navigating the complexity of their cybersecurity stack, make more informed decisions to counter the new paradigm of AI-driven threats, strategically reallocate resources to overcome talent constraints, and understand how to navigate the regulatory web.
